Claire Holmes is the Assistant University Librarian for Research & Instruction at Towson University's Albert S. Cook Library. In addition, she is a Research and Instruction Librarian and the Liaison Librarian to Towson’s Departments of Special Education and Instructional Leadership & Professional Development. Her information literacy instruction efforts focus on supporting student learning and building pre-service educators' information literacy competency, especially in the areas of special education and instructional leadership. Her interests include information literacy, assessment of student learning, creation and calibration of rubrics and infusing Universal Design for Learning into information literacy instruction. She believes wholeheartedly in the power and potential of professional learning communities.
